Drvos is typical small local business. They produce quality custom made furniture. They’d come to your apartment, measure it, propose different furniture designs, create furniture in their shop and install it. Drvos was founded in 2004. by two young guys, Zvonko Kovac and Sasa Podbarac, who both had do-it-yourself experience with furniture assembling. From the initial two employees, today they employ seven people.

Although they were successful, they never had a secure future. They tested several Advertising channels - from newspapers, tv and radio to flyers and posters, but none of them brought desired and continuous results. They finally decides to giva website a try, although they still weren’t sure if it was just another way of “throwing money away” or not. Either way, having a website was not so common practice within their industry in Croatia at that time.

Escape Ltd designed and developed standard small business website for Drvos. Our goal was to create simple website with lots of pictures and product-centred navigation to emphasise products. This website was designed with Search Engine Optimisation in mind from the beginning.

As soon as Google indexed Drvos.hr, it appeared on the first place in Google results for all the important keywords, as we intended. Naturally, it started producing results. It was generating new leads from educated young couples who were furnishing their first housings. It also helped them generate several sales throughout Croatia.

What Drvos guys like to point out today is «…we wish that we had made a decision to go for a website earlier, because gain was so great that it had beaten all of our most optimistic expectations».

Because of it’s business success, Drvos was featured in leading Croatian business magazine “LIDER”.
