After 20 successful years in local retail business, these entrepreneurs sensed if was time to give e-Commerce a shot. Nature of their business (Adult store) was perfectly suitable for e-Commerce, and they recognized it. They believed e-Commerce would give their customers much appreciated privacy, anonymity and convenience of researching and buying adult products without ever having to face salesperson during the process. E-Commerce was also their first venture on nationwide market. Until then, they ran local business only.
Escape Ltd. designed, developed and launched their online store on a new domain www.sex-shop.hr
The Success
Sex shop Fortuna was immediate success because it appeared on the first page of Google for the most competitive phrase in the industry in Croatia: “sex shop”. With initial Internet promotion efforts Escape Ltd. took, Sex Shop Fortuna started selling nationwide and within a month it’s sales results have beaten it’s older brother’s, offline retail results.
